Introduction:
Rodney Martin has over 25 years of successful tribal court, senior management, executive experience with a demonstrated record of accomplishments. Rodney Martin’s experience in both Government and Economic Development combined with his legal & legislative experience has enabled him to successfully turn Entities around and restructure entire entities, while improving capacity, revenue, and efficiency. Given his complex and multi-faceted experience, he could best be termed a 'Specialist' with extensive experience in all areas of Management, Tribal Law, Finance and Planning/Land Use. His very strong background in the areas of development, government, regulations, public information and marketing has proven most useful to the overall success of complex projects.
As a Truman Scholar, Martin is exempt from the Civil Service Exam for U.S. State Dept. Positions.
As a Congressional Aid, Martin held Security Clearances and was subsequently cleared for White House Meetings in his subsequent career.

Overall charge of the Tribal Government AND the Tribe’s Economic Development Corporation. Manage and supervises all Tribal Programs, and Operations. Development of Tribal Government budget, implementation of Tribal Council Policies and Directives. Developed and implemented new Codes, Ordinances, & Policies and Procedures. Developed a new Tribal Elementary School, Tribal Police Department, Tribal Court, Community and Cultural Facility and upgraded Human Resources programs. Overall charge of all Tribal P.L. 93-638 Contracts.

Salt River Pima Maricopa Indian Tribe (2/year Terms – Reappointed)

Provided review, screening, background interviews and determination of suitability of all Judicial candidates for all Judicial appointments for the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community. Submitted Report on suitability to serve to the Tribal Council for each judicial candidate.

Served as Interim Executive Director and Clerk of a Multi-Agency/Jurisdictional Healthcare Board consisting of the City of Alturas, Modoc County and (3) Native American Tribal Governments for the development of a new Hospital. Sighted new land acquisition which resulted in Tribes new West Phoenix Valley Casino Resort and additional 3000 acres for Tribal Housing & Community Development, resulting in expanding Reservation land base from 40 acres to 3500 acres.
